how to sign up for classes
Asmara’s program is designed for youth ages 10-25 and for those who live in the city of Detroit. Classes are once a month on Saturday afternoons from 1-4pm at Clairmount Studios in Detroit.
We host an introductory basic sewing class. Anyone can come to this class- you don't need to apply.
After completing the Intro Sewing Class, students who would like to take further classes need to fill out a simple application. This application process helps us to determine where each student is at and how we can best walk with them on an individual basis to determine what goals they would like to set.
How Much Does It Cost?
Classes are $10-20 sliding scale donation.
